Amala Paul, while confirming that she was approached to play the female lead opposite 'Jayam' Ravi in 'Boologam', however says she was unable to sign the project due to 'date issues' "I could not allot the dates required by them," she says.

Following Amala Paul's inability to be part of the project, it is said that a hunt is on by the producers, a top actress will be roped in for the task. "Expect an announcement soon," sources say.

Being produced by Aascar V Ravichandran, 'Boologam', directed by debutant Kalyan, has 'Jayam' Ravi playing a kick-boxer, a role which was already made memorable by him in 'M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi'.

Shooting for 'Boologam' is expected to start soon. An action adventure, the script is said to be having an interesting love episode too. "Fresher Kalyan is banking heavily on the script," add sources.

A little birdie tells us that Amala Paul signed a film with top notch director VV Vinayak February 22. It will feature Ram Charan Teja and Amala Paul in the lead roles and it is further said that VV Vinayak was impressed with her performance as Parvathy in KSY and went ahead and signed her.

It was earlier said that the 'Magadeera' pair of Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal will be seen in this film however since Kajal has a number of projects lined up in her kitty the makers are said to have opted for Amala Paul instead.

Amala Paul in a recent media interaction tendered her apology to media friends for her act of avoiding some TV channels in the promotional events of her upcoming films.

In the promotional events arranged by the makers of the film ‘Muppozhuthum Un Karpanaigal’ and ‘Kaadhalil Sodhappuvathu Eppadi’ Amala  Paul was asked to give interview to some TV channels. The actress, after her session with two leading channels, left the place (where many channels had assembled for taking her interview) avoiding other channel persons saying that she had to leave as she was getting late for her flight. Later, while responding to a series of queries regarding the incident the actress said that she was not intended to avoid other channels but had to leave because of she was getting late for her flight. She also tendered her apologies for hurting the media friends.

‘Kaadhalil Sodhappuvathu Eppadi’ is releasing on February 14 and ‘Muppozhuthum Un Karpanaigal’ is releasing on the 17th!
